Our Organization, PNDO, successfully implemented the “Emergency Response Project for IDPs” funded by Burmese Relief Center JAPAN (BRCJ) on July 27, 2021, to meet the urgent needs of the displaced people whose displaced to Southern Shan State, fleeing from different places.
During the 2021 emergency response, we provided essential food and non-food aid to 150 displaced households. We distributed 100 bags of rice and 100 bottles of cooking oil to improve food security and lessen hunger among vulnerable families. To meet urgent shelter needs, we supplied 100 tarpaulin sheets to help families build or strengthen temporary shelters. Aware of health risks in displacement settings, we handed out 70 mosquito nets to protect families from diseases spread by insects. We also supplied COVID-19 protection items like hand gel, hand spray, and face masks to reduce transmission risks and promote health awareness in IDP communities.
